Usually, black pigment is made of carbon black which is made by burning fossil fuels and collecting soot that forms in the kiln. It generates around 3 tons of CO2 for each one ton of material made. Organic materials break down as methane when disposed in landfills and methane is a greenhouse gas that's 80 times more powerful than CO2. Recycled Food Waste black is made with a deep carbon negative pigment made from organic waste such as bio-solids and food waste which diverted from landfills.
It is a known fact; that more than 80% of clothing ends up in landfills or incinerators which creates a huge impact on the environment. Therefore it would be useful to explore new methodologies to manage this huge textile waste. Under this concept, reprocess the scraps and transform textile fiber into colored powder. Dyestuff range made by using recycled used clothing, fibrous material and textile scraps. This pigment concentrate has been developed by dispersing the pigment (composed of ground textile); in water with the help of some additives and can be used as a textile printing ink. This product is neither explosive nor oxidizing and has not reported any toxicity. It is applied in suspension, not as a part of the chemical solution. It is filtered easily
